Oh, happy Independence Day!
Wishing you a happy 4th of July! We're gonna be busy showing our French visiting guest the American Independence Day celebration : a neighborhood party with fireworks show tonight and then a lake boat afternoon and barbecue tomorrow. Hope your 4th of July is a fun one too! Xo, Si-

Have a beautiful and happy day!
ReplyDeleteThank you Lisanne! Happy day to you too!
DeleteI ate the first time on the balcony this year. In July! We had years when I was sitting outside in January already. 2012: Suffering rain! Longing for sun! I found a a nice and easy camera now and I can proof that I ate a lot of vitamins! Have a wonderful day and evening. Such a nice photo you show. Hey, I wonder, you have one holiday after the other - maybe we all should move to USA?
ReplyDeleteHaha! I don't know about Germany, but Holidays in the US are 1/5 of the day offs we get in France for holidays. Not sure it's worth moving over here for that. There are however a lot of other good things about life in the US. Not the vacation time and holidays...
DeleteGood to read that you enjoyed a meal outdoors and got some Vitamin D. Hope the sun stays for a while over your balcony! :-)
Happy 4th to you, Si. I´m living in that part of Germany (SW) with the most sunniest hours per year says statistics. Maybe "once upon a time there was a country ..". And we are said the district with the most public holidays :) Specially for our big big fleamarket for the favor of animal welfare on Sunday I hope for the best of all weather, it´s always a big something including a lot of musings for kids, cu again, Amina xxo
DeleteBon jour férié alors ! En te suivant, en plus du plaisir, je m'instruis aussi sur les jours fériés et culture US, c'est pratique! Ma fille est encore un temps en Floride donc c'est utile . ;o)Merci Si. Nathalie.
ReplyDeleteIt's a great picture, but seriously, the flag isn't supposed to touch the ground -- ever.
ReplyDeleteOh, really, is that the rule? I am learning this for the first time! Thank you!
DeleteFunny enough, the artist that shot this pic is from the US...
Have a nice day!!!
ReplyDeleteHappy Fourth of July! Sounds like you have a fun filled few days. Love the picture! (minus the flag touching the ground)
ReplyDeleteNot to offend patriotism, I thought it is a blanket ...
DeleteHappy 4th of july!
